eSchool students are able to receive credit at the International House of Prayer University (IHOPU) for courses taken with IHOPU eSchool. Students may only receive credit for interactive courses. Enrichment and group study courses may not receive credit. Students may not receive more than one year of credit at IHOPU through eSchool. Students completing courses for the first semester can only transfer into IHOPU during the spring semester (with the exception of FMA). Students who have enough credits for the first year of IHOPU can only transfer in the fall semester (August). In addition to transferring their credits, students who wish to transfer a year of credit from eSchool to IHOPU must also complete a summer bridging course on-site in Kansas City. This course lasts four weeks (July 6 through August 4, 2012) and costs $300. It is a prerequisite, along with application to IHOPU, for attending classes in the fall as a second year student. When applying to IHOPU, an eSchool student should indicate if they have taken their first year on eSchool so that they may be enrolled in the summer bridging course. No bridging course is necessary for those transferring one semester.
NOTE: Due to visa restrictions, international students are exempt from the Summer Bridging Course, though we highly recommend coming at least a month in advance in order to become familiar with the prayer room and the IHOPU campus.
If a student has taken courses on eSchool beyond the first year curriculum, the student may receive credit at the discretion of the IHOPU registrar. If the student does receive credit for a second-, third-, or fourth-year course, the student will have the opportunity to take another course in place of that course to obtain the necessary number of credits at IHOPU for graduation.
If a course that a student has taken through eSchool is no longer offered at IHOPU, it may not be possible to transfer the credit to IHOPU. In addition, if an eSchool course was taken two or more years ago and the content of the course has changed, it may not be possible to transfer the credit to IHOPU. Students must achieve a passing grade on their courses to transfer the credits to IHOPU.
There is a fee to transfer credits from eSchool to IHOPU. The transfer fee is $100 per course and is due before enrolling in IHOPU classes. eSchool will retain a record of your completed credit courses and your final grade. If you decide to apply as an on-campus IHOPU student be sure to mention that you have taken eSchool interactive courses on your application. We will make sure you receive credit for the courses you have completed within the above guidelines. Transfer of credit from the eSchool to an on-campus course of study at IHOPU is subject to the student's successful application to IHOPU, the approval of the IHOPU registrar, and the completion of any necessary prerequisites.
